Open Components Framework

Open Components Framework – OCF – is a LieberLieber solution-set for rapid service development for eGovernment services. It consists out of several components, which can be connected easily.

OCF originated out of a cooperation with Magistrat Villach. This municipial agency faced the same problem as many governmental agencies.  Departments had partly similar and partly divers requirements for their eGovernment applications.

The offering in the market for eGovernment software are mainly complete solutions solutions, trying to cover all aspects thus often create a lot of configuration and customization effort afterwards.
Experience shows that these systems often are to big, too complex and too costly - resulting in a poor TCO. In addition departmental needs can be not fully satisfied due to the increasing costs over the project cycle for change requests.

The architecture of OCF is based on SOA (Service Oriented Architecture). The services can be combined. Each services consists of a thin client, which deals with just the service specific business logic. The main part of the logic is kept in the so called BusinessObject-Service. Due to the huge amount of classes available implementing a new class is easy. Thus complex requirements can be implemented by putting the buidling blocks together. The implemented services is lean and fast.

We are currently working on more templates, wizards and code generation engines to continuously make it easier to implement department specific solutions for a fraction of the usual cost (having a complete solution customized)

LieberLieber offers the framework and consultancy for software development teams within government agencies. On the other hand it is also possible to buy already availabe services developped by LieberLieber.
